In the continuing tradition of the Stutz Motor Car Factory and spirit of Harry Stutz,Turner Woodard & the Stutz Racing Team have kept the Stutz Motor Racing tradition alive by competing throughout the United States in the fast growing Vintage Motor Racing Series.

The series started in the early 1990s among collectors who wanted to run cars not just display them.There are approximately 20 races throughout. Drivers include business professionals and avid collectors as well as ex-champions such as Jackie Stewart, Bobby Rahl, Phil Hill and Carol Shelby. Cars entered include classic Jaguars, Ferraris, Corvettes, Mustangs and many others.The series has grown in popularity and regularly attracts 400 to 500 entries with each race.

Woodard and his crew, four employees of his Stutz building maintenance team, regularly participate in races in the Midwest Division during the season that runs from April to September.Woodard’s entries are a vintage 1979 March Formula Atlantic and a historic 1975 Chevron 2-Liter sports car. Woodard says,“It’s all for the love of sport and the preservation of these rare and historic racing cars.” He calls it a “thrilling and exciting” hobby that truly transforms him to another place & time!
